Ozone Questions & Answers
Ozone is a natural sterilant used to destroy bacteria, viruses and odours and it is the second most powerful sterilant in the world. It often occurs naturally from thunderstorms and lightening but can be created using a generator. There are two atoms in oxygen 02, ozone 03 creates the third atom.
Ozone is very powerful and once it is in contact with contaminants like bacteria, viruses and odours they are destroyed completely through oxidation, but because ozone 03 has a short life cycle it also consumed reverting it back to oxygen 02.
Ozone is the last stage of the smoke odour removal process after a full interior clean has been carried out to remove any airborne contamination.
Although is many cases this is achievable a significant improvement of 80-90% is more realistic.
